Dr. Kelly Baete is originally from Indiana and attended Wesleyan College in Georgia for her undergraduate degree. She attended the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine where she met her husband, James Doyle, and focused on companion animal care. Her professional interests include internal medicine, ophthalmology, ultrasound and animal behavior. Dr. Baete loves to talk to people about their pets and is always amazed to learn how their lives have been changed by their four legged friends. In her free time, Dr. Baete likes to spend time with her friends and family, ride horses, read, travel, and walk her dogs. Dr. Baete and Dr. Doyle fell in love with Fort Mill after attending the Fall Festival at Baxter Village, and have made this area their home. They have two children (Jackson and Kaitlyn), two dogs (Delilah and Fisher), and one cat named Khaleesi.

Dr. James Doyle grew up in upstate New York and attended the University of Rochester for his undergraduate degree where he double majored in Biology and Spanish. He earned his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Purdue with a focus on small animal medicine and critical care. Dr. Doyle enjoys surgery and can perform a wide variety of procedures including orthopedic repair of knee injuries. He is one of the few veterinarians in the area that performs the TTA procedure to repair torn ligaments within the knee. Dr. Doyle also enjoys radiology, emergency medicine, and managing complicated medical cases. In his free time, Dr. Doyle enjoys running with his dogs, mountain biking, and playing music. Dr. Doyle can be seen playing his guitar around town as part of the Josey Wails Band or the Tobacco Road Revival show.

Dr. Katrina Carroll joined the team at Baxter Veterinary Clinic in 2016. Originally from Rock Hill, Dr. Carroll attended the University of South Carolina for her undergraduate degree and the University of Georgia for Veterinary School where she graduated in 2011. Dr. Carroll lives in Charlotte with her husband Zack Yasin (also a veterinarian), their cat Kirby, and their two children. Professionally, she enjoys internal medicine, oncology and dermatology. In her free time, Dr. Carroll enjoys watching college football, running, playing soccer, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Katie Siegfried grew up on the Florida coast before moving to the Great Smoky Mountains, where she attended the University of Tennessee for undergraduate studies majoring in Animal Science and Wildlife & Fisheries. She later graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the Baxter Vet family in 2020 and her veterinary interests include pocket pets, reptiles, soft tissue surgery, oncology, and dentistry. In her free time you can find Dr. Siegfried involved in many outdoor activities such as hiking, sailing, and scuba diving. She lives with her adorable cat Professor Higgins and her turtle Michelangelo.

Baxter Veterinary Clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Kelly Baete and Dr. James Doyle. This husband and wife team graduated from the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After graduation, they decided to move to the Carolinas and have been practicing in the area ever since. With over 20 years of combined experience, they are proud to offer a wide variety of services in an environment that your pet will beg to visit!
